My daughter's name is Kaelyn. We got it from the Irish name Caoilainn (meaning slender and fair/white/pure). If I'd had my way, I think I would've spelled it Cailin, but hubby wanted Kaelyn and he won. :P
It is definitely getting much more popular, though. When we named her 2 years ago I'd never heard it anywhere. Now I seem to see it a lot online and have met one other little girl with the name and know of a teenage boy with the name, only spelled Kalen.
