[Opinions] Greta
What do you think of the name Greta ? I've liked it ever since I watched a movie with Harvey Keitel in which his daughters were named Sonia and Greta.

I love Greta; old-fashioned, but not in a bad way. I think its very pretty and underused (though I wouldn't want it to become TOO popular).

I really like it, but prefer it as a nickname. The main character in the story I'm working on actually only exists because I said, "Greta's a cool name. I should have a character named Greta. Hey, what do you mean she's the main character?" Sonia's nice too, though I slightly prefer Sonja.

I love it. Sonia and Greta make a nice sibset too.

Greta was my first choice for my daughter, but my husband doesn't like it. I think it has a great balance between sass and glamor.

Love!Greta is my niece's name. It is short for Margaret. I like it best as a nn, but it's fine as a given name too.Sonia I'm not so much a fan of, but Greta is a keeper.

I quite like Greta and Gretel and Gretchen. Especially Greta. They're really cool red colours.

I like it a lot as a nn for Margaret. I've also known of a Margreta (this spelling) who went by Greta, which I think is nice. I'm not sure how I feel about Greta as a stand-alone name, though.

I like itI think it's sweet. It contended with Maggie as my favorite nickname for Margaret. It lost, in part due to my husband's opinion, but I still like it. I also like it as a nickname for Gretchen, or I think it's alright by itself. Sonia and Greta are nice names for sisters. Good choice, movie. :)

I would rather use Gretchen as the nn for Greta. Where I come from Greta is a full name and Gretchen just a nickname. I also don't like Gretchen that much.
