Gabe and Shelby are High School sweethearts. Gabriel was best friends with Shelby's brother Jesse since he was five. As time went on Gabe started to take notices of Jesse's "annoying little sister" and by the time he was 17 and she 15 they offically started seeing one another.
After Shelby finished high school the couple eloped to Vegas for a quickie wedding and haven't looked back.
Gabe took a job in the local sheriff's department recently after a 4 year hitch in the US Army, where he was a clerk. Shelby got her job thru her families connections as her father Jesse Snr. is a well-connected member of the local Republican party.
