I aged them by two years... I don't think they were ready for this step last round.
Mordecai and Connor had been seeing one another regularly for about a year and a half when Cai got a call from a local emergency room. A young woman he had slept with outside his relationship with Connor had died in childbirth with Cai's son, but had lived long enough to give Cai's name to the nurses. Connor was understandably livid, having moved in with his boyfriend just two months previous, and a horrible fight ensued. In the end, Connor gave in to Cai's desperate pleas and agreed to stay on a trial basis. Cai has been an angel ever since, spreading his time between his new son and his distrustful lover. Connor eventually subsided and is doing his best to help with Dorian. Neither young man has any experience with children, but they're doing their best to raise Cai's son.
