[Opinions] Sakura!
I am really really liking Sakura lately. I like what it symbolises mostly, but I just think it would be a really cool name. Actually there are a whole bunch of other reasons why I like it.
So the other night I wrote quite a long list of Sakura combos. Most of them were complete rubbish, and a lot of them rhymed and were really just ridiculous. But anyway. Here are most of them.
Forms of Elizabeth
Sakura Isibeal*
Sakura Isobel
Sakura Elizabeth
Sakura Alzbeta
Sakura Lisbet
Sakura Eilis
Forms of Agnes
Sakura Agnes
Sakura Inez*
Some family fillers.
Sakura Marie
Sakura Elizabeth (again)
Some forms of Alice
Sakura Alice
Sakura Alix*
Just for fun and giggles
Sakura Seraphina*- Is it wrong that this is my favourite at the moment?
Sakura Mildred
Sakura Theodora
Sakura Athenodora
Names ending in ~ine
Sakura Fleurentine
Sakura Wilhelmine
Sakura Jessamine*
Sakura Clementine
Sakura Eglantine
Sakura Claudine
Sakura Zephyrine
In all seriousness
Sakura Ismene*
Sakura Genevieve*
Sakura Camille*
*s are by todays favourites.
Your opinions on Sakura, these combos, as well as suggestions would be very much appreciated!

I love Japanese names and the meanings of them, but as much as I adore them it's hard to fit them with English (or French, or Irish, or whatever you might use) names. Sakura is lovely. It's apparently #2 in Japan, behind Hina. These were the combos I liked:
Sakura Isobel
Sakura Elizabeth
Sakura Alice
Sakura Alix
Sakura Seraphina
Sakura Zephyrine
Sakura Genevieve
Sakura Isobel
Sakura Elizabeth
Sakura Alice
Sakura Alix
Sakura Seraphina
Sakura Zephyrine
Sakura Genevieve
Hina is number 1?
Wow...I think there are so many lovely Japanese names and even though Hina has a lovely meaning I don't think it sounds very nice...

Isn't Sakura the #1 baby name for girls in Japan ? I like Japanese names and I love its meaning and think that it sounds nice as well but I wouldn't really use it unless I married a Japanese guy or lived in Japan. I mean it's not that ethnic (like Akiko or Hiromi) but I think it would sound rather weird with an English surname (Sakura Miller). Maybe that's just me, though as nobody else seems to have noticed that it's a Japanese name.
Still it's beautiful and better than Taylor or something...I like Sakura Isobel, Sakura Alice, Sakura Alix, Sakura Theodora, Sakura Wilhelmine, Sakura Jessamine, Sakura Clementine and Sakura Camille.
I like Mildred but it doesn't go well with Sakura at all in my opinion.

Sakura? I havnt ever really heard this name, it has a rough yet unique edge to it. Only bad thing is, Sak or Sakky, could become NN. :P
Awesome
Your cat is well named.
Hehe I think Fleurentine sounds yummy too. It was my great-grandmother's middle name, plus there are a few others in my family tree.
Thanks!
