I love the name, Maeve, but I agree, the meaning isn't great. You can say, intoxicating like a sunset, love, etc... I suppose because being intoxicated became synonymous with being happy/high, and akin to being in love. The actual meaning of intoxicate isn't a good thing. Toxic?
But, yes, besides the meaning. I love the name.
Maeva means welcome in Tahitian, maybe this would be a good alternate?
