[Opinions] Re: Amanat...

My friend is a Muslim. One of her brothers is called Bobby. Her niece is called Tsunami. I would guess if you are living in a Western country you might consider a non-Muslim name. Also, I've never heard of this guy and no idea how religious he is but if he's not a devout Muslim, he wouldn't necessarily give his child a Muslim name. Also, my family are Christian but very few of us have Biblical names.

Tsunami???
What on earth were they thinking of there? That's like naming somebody Earthquake or Cyclone.

I have no idea! My friend doesn't know either. It's particularly strange when you consider the family's first language is Bengali. She was born before the Boxing Day Tsunami of 2005 (I think she's about 11 now) but suffered a lot of teasing from kids at school.
The thing is, although it is a very unusual name, I'm totally used to it now because I hear my friend talk about her so much (and have met her a couple of times). I guess that happens with a lot of unusual names. After a while you just associate the name with the person.
