I loooove the name Frederick. So classy. It's consistently in my top 3 boys' names. I think (at least in English speaking countries) that Fred or Freddie is an inevitable nickname, just by virtue of the fact it's the most common. I do like Rick, but I'd automatically assume it's a nickname for Richard.
