3 or 4 syllables, not 2 or 3. :-)I tried saying it a dozen times in a row to test myself, but I pretty consistently used a blend of the two. It comes out tah-teeAHN-ah, in which the long E sound is distinctly present but only for half a heartbeat. It's not the second prn, but not quite the first either.But then I'm Texan, not Russian.
