I don't think that Annie is childish or immature, which is odd b/c I usually think that nn's can be a bit cutesy (my own included!)... However, I would encourage you to name her Anne or one of the suggested variatants based on my own experience. I go by Betsy at home, with friends, and even with co-workers once I get to know them, but I like to have the option of going by Elizabeth professionally (which I do). Hope this helps!
