I like Buenaventura for the same reasons you list. Buena is too feminine for a boy in a Spanish context. I like Bonaventura better than Buenaventura, but oddly enough, I don't care for Bonaventure. Leonel is ok, but Leon sounds better to me. Alonso sounds well with it. Buenaventura is pretty long, so I generally think shorter middle names would go better with it.Buenaventura Andres
