[Opinions] Dorothea
So I have a (deceased) great-aunt named Dorothy who has yet to be honored by anyone in the family. I've been trying to come up with ways to honor her since, as far as I know, she was pretty well liked. I think I've found it. I can't stand Theodora or Dorothy, but I'm LOVING Dorothea. What do you think? Combos?

Loving Dorothea. Not suer why since I find Dorothy a bit fusty. Like Theodora as well. Also, Thea and Dora are great nns.Dorothea Elaine popped into my head.

I love Dorothea! I prefer this form, but I also like Dorothy, Dorota, and Dorotea.

I love Dorothea, and am considering it for a future daughter. She would be named after my fiance's grandmother, who was also Dorothy. We would call her Thea, though.

Absolutely. I adore the nickname Thea.

TheaI think Thea would be very pretty on its own, if it came to it. It would still honor your great-aunt Dorothy.

I agree, it's very nice on its own; however, I think it's a bit nicknamey and would rather have a longer and more "formal" name from which I could derive the nickname. Besides, I think Dorothea is absolutely great and would love to use it.
