[Opinions] Soren for a GIRL?!!?
in reply to a message by Sabrina Fair
This is a real pet peeve of mine. People don't realize that Soren is ONLY a boy's name in Denmark, where it comes from. And even when it is used for a boy in the USA, it usually isn't pronounced properly. I'm not Scandinavian, but I still did the research to find out how it was pronounced, and I'd definitely do that if I were naming a real kid. Ugh. People.

So there are many pronpuncations for names it may not be the original one but you cannot expect people to correctly say it all the time.
I wouldn't expect people to know that, unlesss you tell them it depends where you live. Of course people in US wouldn't say it corerectly because they are saying it in English.
Just pointing something out :). Trust me I'd love if people used correctly saying for some of my names.
