What do you think of Ariel for a girl?
- I like it a lot, though I probably wouldn't use it. I actually prefer it for a mn I think.
Is it too associated with The Little Mermaid?
- The name does make me think of that movie character, but that wouldn't put me off using it.
Do you prefer Arielle or Ariella?
- I like both of these versions and I think either is lovely.
Is it popular where you live?
- No not at all.

- I don't know anyone with this name at all.
Oh and red hair runs in my family, would it weird to have a little girl with red hair named Ariel?
- No I don't think so. That would be cute actually!

- I pronounce Ariel as AIR-ree-el, Arielle as AH-ree-el and Ariella as AH-ree-el-ah. I think a lot of people would say AIR-ree-el for Ariel, as that's the way it's pronounced in the movie.
Out of her sister's names I like Adella and Alana.
