I like Ariel on both, but LOVE Arielle on a girl. I'm not a big fan of the Air- prn. as it makes me think of a tv aerial. I prefer Ah- for both. I don't think that'd be a problem with that prn. especially with the Arielle prn.
Ariel on a boy and Arielle on a girl. Ariella is a bit too frilly for my liking. I think it'd be fine to have a red-haired girl named Ariel(le).
I only like Alana from the sisters names.
