[Opinions] Erik?
Hi guys, I posted a thread entitled "need help with name ideas" recently. http://www.behindthename.com/bb/view.php?id=3375468&board=baby
Thanks for all your suggestions, I did like Adrian, Trent,
Oliver, Garth, Evan, & Darian. I still like Reuben more though..For some reason I've had the name Erik stuck in my head for the last day or so. It's not really a name I would usually pick, but for some reason it feels right. I like it as much as Reuben, but I haven't run it by dh yet. I've always thought the name Erik is a little tame and common, but all of a sudden it sounds melodious and I feel like I can see it on my little baby boy. I don't think it's all that common nowadays either. I got the idea for Erik as I've been listening to a lot of Andrew Lloyd Weber's music from the phantom of the opera lately and though it was never mentioned in Webber's version the Phantom's name is Erik.
I think it sounds nice with Miranda too. Miranda and Erik. What do you think of the Erik with a K, instead of a C. I like it better with a K, I read somewhere that it was initially spelt with a K, not really sure though... Anyway, what do you think of this name?

It's a great name, even though I do personally prefer it with a c. You're right, it does sound nice with Miranda.

Love it!I love Erik, with a K. Here in Sweden, K is the most common spelling. With a C i think it'f look rather "girly" and boring. Erik Reuben would be a lovely combo :)

I too, like Erik with a K better...both because it helps the name stand out and I think it has a more solid, interesting image than "Eric."
I don't think you can go wrong with Erik.
