Pronunciation and meaningIn Mongolian, a double vowel means that syllable is stressed, so, for example, Saruul is pronounced something like Sar-ULL. Kh is like ch in loch, and you can sorta guess the rest of the vowels and consonants.Enkhdalai (ENKH-da-LIE): This means peaceful ocean. Dalai is the same word as in Dalai Lama.
Enkhjargalan (ENKH-jar-gal-an): Peaceful and happy
Enkhlen (ENKH-len): Peaceful (not sure if the -len adds any other meaning)
Enkhnaran (ENKH-nar'-an): Peaceful sun
Enkhsaruul (ENKH-sar-ULL): Peaceful and clear
Enksaruul is the same as Enkhsaruul. It's just a different transliteration.
Enkhtuja = Enkhtuya (ENKH-tu-ya): Peaceful beam of light
Enchtuul = Enkhtuul (ENKH-tull) [the second syllable is not stressed on this because the name is a combination of separate words]: Peaceful Tuul (Tuul is the name of a river)
Ariunmaa (Ar-yun-maa): Pure (-maa is just a feminine name suffix)
Ariunmur: Ariun is pure. I don't know what -mur is.
Ariuntuja = Ariuntuya: Pure beam of light
Saruultuya (Sar-ULL-tu-ya): Clear beam of light
Oyunbayar (o-YUN-by-ar): Wise and fortunate/happy
Oyunsuren (o-YUN-sur-en): Oyun is wisdom and I think -suren means something like "protected by" but I'm not sure.
Oyundari (o-YUN-dar-i): Dunno!
Otgonbayar (OT-gon-by'-ar): Otgon means youngest son and Bayar is fortune and happiness and luck. Wishful thinking on the part of the parents?Another Mongolian name I like in particular is Narantuya (sunbeam).

Oh! This helps a lot! There are several nice names on here, but I think I might still struggle to pronounce them correctly, even with your help. :(I do like these:Ariunmaa
Ariunmur
Saruultuya
Oyunbayar
Oyunsuren
Oyundari (my favorite of these)I don't like the sound of the E names, or the last one, but maybe I need to hear someone say them.Narantuya is nice, too.

I think it's difficult to really have an opinion on these names...Because they are so very different from "Western" names that I've grown up with and that I find aesthetic.
I'm sure that if I was Mongolian, I would find this name nice and that one not and so on, but they all look just pretty strange to me, being used to English, French, German, Italian, Spanish... names only.

Interesting..Ariunmur, Ariunmaa, Oyunsuren and Enkhlen aren't unpleasant.

Yeah, I pretty much agree. The others are very harsh sounding to my ears.

omg... I think I might fall in love with most of them if I had a clue how to pronounce them! Do you know what they mean? That would be really cool to know, too. :)
