[Opinions] Twin names I heard today
A friend of mine from college told me about a friend of hers who has twins named Oliver and Olivia. Although I quite like the name Oliver and I love the name Olivia, I think as a twin set they are waaaay too similar.Any thoughts?

I love Olivia, but hate Oliver. Also, I'm not a fan of match-y names for twins (or siblings for that matter), but people seem to do it a lot.
I know twins that are:Marina & Marinko
Ella Katarina & Emma Kristina
Mirna & Miran
Petra & Petar
Laura & Lorena

Bad enough for siblings, but for twins it's terrible!:)

Ugh, I hate matchy twin names. Oliver and Olivia are great names separately but terrible as a twin set. It would have been better if she used them as MNs instead.

There some parent goes again: treating twins as though they were pets to have cutesy matching names instead of identities of their own. Honestly, what is it about some people that they feel the need to demean twins that way? *Rolls eyes*

Yah. Oliver and Olivia shouldn't be used in the same sibset, let alone twins. That's pretty bad.

I agree with you: both are nice names, but I hate it when parents give their twins matching names, like Barry and Larry, Sharon and Karen, or Robert and Roberta. Isn't it bad enough when they dress them in identical clothes all the time?
