I say woodsy and rough. Sounds like Beater.

As in whales? The thought of beached whales literally makes me cry. It's so upsetting to me. I couldn't ever use a name like Beecher because of the beached wale association.

I'm just reminded of Harriet Beecher Stowe, author of Uncle Tom's Cabin and her father Lyman Beecher. It's up to you whether those association's are positive or not. I don't find it woodsy but it definitely isn't prep school. I guess I'm just not feeling it as a first name. It just sounds like someone going by their last name to me. That said I prefer it to most surnames as firstnames.

I really don't like how it sounds, plus it's very trendy.

I don't like it much. It reminds me of one of the characters of the series "Oz", so I pretty much associate it with a prisoner.

Definitely a nn. I don't like it.
Sounds like the college 'jock' type.
