Rosamund, no question..
It has more strength than Rose, but it's still pretty. Rose is just frilly and.. weak, imo.

Although I'm fond of both names, I prefer Rosamund to Rose.
However, I prefer both Rosamond and Rosemonde to Rosamund.

Rosamund!
Rose as a fn is a giant step up from Rose as a mn, but I still don't love it. Rosamund just feels more complete, grown up. Rose is too cute and sweet.

I prefer Rose. I don't like the last syllable of Rosamund at all. Rosamund is my least favorite Rose name, Rosaline is my favorite. Rose itself is very nice as a first name.

Oh, this is hard to choose! I love both, but I think I love Rose just a little more. Time, classic, and simple.

I love Rose for its simplicity. While it is overly used as a mn, as a fn it is refreshing. The nn Rosie is adorable and spunky.
But I must give preference to Rosamund. She's an underdog. So few people will understand or find beauty in the "-mund" ending. But I love how romantic and historic Rosamund is. I'm transported back to the court of Henry II of England and his mistress Rosamund Clifford. (Poor Eleanor of Acquitaine.) I just love names that can do that.
Why does Rosa not get any attention? She seems to be one of the most overly looked "rose" names out there. Just saying . . . .

Rosa, along with Isabella, always brings to my mind the image of an overweight, dark-haired, middle-aged woman with a mustache. Funny how one little syllable can make a difference.
