Unusable in the US?
I just don't really follow how it being a Spanish word makes it unusable. Island isn't an offensive word or anything, either...I think it's a rather nice image, actually. Besides, I think a good number of people are aware that it's an established name, if only because they've heard it on Isla Fisher or something like that.

Actually, it IS usable in the U.S.
I'm from the U.S., and I already know a couple of baby Islas. It may be a Spanish word, but Americans don't have a problem with that... especially in California, where I live. :)

I don't like Isla. The sound of it just doesn't appeal to me; I think it's too soft and delicate.

Along with Persephone, Isla is one of the worst names that gets constantly mentioned on these boards. It's not ugly, but I don't think that it's so fascinating that it deserves the attention it gets. Sorry, I'm not trying to offend you. On the plus side, Isla goes very nicely with Thea and Noa.

Isla is thoroughly enchanting. I picture an isle in the mist. Very Gaelic and haunting. Love it.
I've already noted below that's I'd prefer a name that doesn't end in an "-uh" sound for your trio. But because I can't resist combo-making:

Isla Sylvie
Isla Carys
Isla Myfanwy ("mi-VAWN-wee," = my lady)

Isla Winter (too cute?)

I kept coming up with other nature names, like Isla Meadow. But then I'd say it out loud and "isle of meadow" is what I heard. So maybe stay away from mns that are nouns / associated with nature. For example: Isla Sandrine. Sandrine has nothing to do with sand, but there's no escaping the image with Isla. Am I being too sensitive?
What do you think of Eilidh / Eily ("EYE-lee") instead of Isla? It's Scottish, like Isla.

I love the sibset - complementary without being overly matchy, and the names are all great, too! I adore Isla on its own, too, though Isla Rumer isn't really my style. It's very reminiscent of Rumer Willis, and adding on to that, there's the "rumor" associations to consider.
