What impression does this name give you?
I'm just curious, I think the name is absolutely loathsome and pretty much should only belong to someone with an IQ less than 70. (My apologies to all those Dwaynes' out there who can prove me wrong).
Anyone else have this impression? Or am I alone in this?

It gives me the same impression. There's a Strong Bad E-mail in which he can change into a random object by saying "DWAYNE!"

Ugh... no you're not alone. I hate the name. I can stomache Duane b/c it looks more like a real name but I'm not a fan in general of names that are essentially a regular name w/ D', L', etc...

No, you're not alone. That's how I think of it too. It makes me think of an unintelligent redneck kind of guy.

I think it's pretty awful. Anything that starts with 'dw' sounds bad to me ('dwang', anyone?). It brings to mind a redneck and/or complete drip who's never done anything with his life except get drunk and drive too fast. His sister's name is something like Kendra or Charmaine. (Apologies to anyone with these names, I just really dislike them).
