I love the name Ada. What do you think of it ?
Does it sound dated ?

For some reason I doubt it will become popular. Adeline, yes. Adelaide, yes. Eva, yes. but Ada.....hmmmmm I don't see it.

It does sound a bit old fashioned, but in a good way. And I do think it will become more popular in the future (like Ava and Eva). You can also use Addy/Addie as a nickname, even though they are longer on paper than the name itself (like Annie for Ann). So it has some good options, which many short names do not.

I like the name Ada. It reminds me of Resident Evil though, but it probably wouldn't remind most people of that and eventually I'm sure it will remind barely anyone

I love Ada, both as a given name and as a nickname for Adelaide (but not Adelaida). I don't think it sounds at all dated.
I could see it follow in the footsteps of Ava and get popular. Just how popular, though, I don't know.

In the U.S. Ada is higher on the popularity chart than Adelaide.
I do know an Ada- my daughter Adelaide goes by Ada. For that reason I have a fondness for it, though Adelaide has my heart. Ada is too short for me, personally, to consider as a given name but it is cute and lively, I can see it rising fairly high on the charts.

There's this new name site that did an article on Ada, said it was "Out before it's in".

It's heading up, but very slowly. I can see maybe top 200 or 300, but not top 100, definitely not top 10.
I think it's cute, but since I prefer V sounds, I'd be more likely to pick Ava.

I like Ada okay. It's nothing special but it does have a nice sound to it. Adah looks weird to me. Like it's supposed to be pronounced ah-DAH or something.
I also love Adelaida, moreso than I love Adelaide. I think it's a good way to get Ada if you want something more substantial for the first name.
