Clarissa is nice, but I find Clarice quite lovely.
I prefer the Clarice combos where the middle name begins with a vowel because I think they flow better.
I especially like:
Clarice Emmeline (I like this one best)
Clarice Adeline
Clarice Annabel
Clarice AmabelClarissa is nice, too, though.
I like:
Clarissa May
Clarissa Blanche (depends on how you pronounce Blanche, though. I pronounce it the French way.)
Clarissa Blythe
Clarissa Delphine

I like Clarice much better than Clarissa, in spite of the Silence of the Lambs association. Clarissa just sounds so dated, what with the -issa ending. Do you like Clarisse? I've seen it spelled that way and thought it looked interesting. Anyway, from your list I like:Clarice Adelaide
Clarice Adeline
Clarice Ethelinde - This combo strikes me as really French, though I don't know why.
Clarice Imogen
Clarice Nimue

I dislike Clarice. Clarissa is okay, but not a favorite. I much prefer the similar sounding Calista.

I read in Bruce Lansky's Baby Name Survey that Clarissa is indeed considered 'snobby' -- but also artistic. I've always liked my name though, even as a little girl I refused to be called 'Claire.' My middle name is Diane -- a family name -- I think it works well to pair it with a classic name. I especially like the meaning (http://wiki.name.com/en/Clarissa)Clarice -- well, until the Silence of the Lambs frenzy disappears, this one is tougher... I've been teased about it, a couple times...
