[Opinions] Jennifer

Jennifer and Heather (another name I have heard mentioned here as being eighties) are my sisters' names...both are now in their thirties and thus were not born in the 1980's. We're American.
I personally really like Jennifer (nn Jenn) and not just because it is my sister's name. I am in fact kind of sad that I cannot saddle my child with it because there would be too much confusion. I like Jennifer Lynn or Jennifer Katherine

all the jennifers I know is from 20-24. very '80s. so I think it would be nice to be used again.
I don't think so. It's not that popular anymore. I still like the name.
95% of the Jennifer's I know are over the age of 25.
Go on, be evil and get lazy.

My name is Jennifer Lynn. My advice: don't use it!
I love Jennifer, it's one of my favourite names. I like Jenna as a nick-name. I suppose it is common, but not amazingly so around where I live.

Well being as my name is Jennifer I like it. Also I was born in the 80's so I was part of the craze. But I likes being one of five in a class one year. And it was fun watching the teacher try to say which one she wanted. I think Jennifer is one if the nicer names that were used a bit much in the 80's and as it's been said not as popular now, so may not be as bad. I say definetly think about it. If you do use it, make sure the mn is good too. I'd say don't use Jane, but then again maybe another person wouldn't mind it. So I say it's a good name.
I would look to the SSA popularity list (or relevant list for your country). If it's below 100, then I say go ahead.
I know Jennifer washorribly over usedin the 80's, but from the perspective of this year's newborns, it might be unusual to have a Jennifer in your class.
Jennifer is a nice, feminine classic.

Very true, but Jennifer will be tied to the '80s
And that might not be good. :-)

Well, IrishGirl is from Ireland...
...and I don't know about Ireland, but in the UK, it's not really connected to the 80's.
