I love Arabella. It's been used in Scotland for centuries (think Lady Arabella Stuart) and I used to babysit a cute and sassy little girl of Scottish background called Arabella Jane. I've always loved this name, and she made it even more gorgeous for me. I notice a silly comment about "Arab" and "Ella" on the Comments section for the name on here -it's just pure ignorance and I wouldn't let it prevent me from using the name if I was you. Most people will see it as Ara-bella. It's wonderful and a lovely change from Isabella.

Its pretty. I like Arabella Maeve quite a bit.

I have a cousin named Arabella. I like the name, but I have to say, its a little too feminine and frilly for my personal taste. In other words, I like it on someone else's kid, but not on my own.

It's gorgeous. I've also always loved Maeve so to me, Arabella Maeve is a perfect combo!

Erm... I definitely would not have seen it as "Arab Ella" if you hadn't pointed out, so I wouldn't say it's a probelm at all.

I like it, although I prefer Annabelle or Annabella. They seem more classic to me, and Arabella for some reason sounds modern...

Arabella Willow, Arabella Sophie and Arabella Iris are wonderful. Arabella Charlotte is nice, too, but it seems to be lacking the romantic quality of the others.
