I am really liking the soft TH sounds with the stronger T and B.
My biggest/only problem with it is that I strongly dislike the NN Tabby, and all the Tabithas I've known have gotten stuck with it. Any alternative suggestions. I'd use the full name most of the time, but I would want an occasional NN that is DEFINITELY not Tabby.
WDYT overall? Combo suggestions? Other NNs?

Tibby or Abby?
I love Tabitha. My cousins were strongly considering it for their soon to be born baby (who will be a boy). It is unusual without being awkward or unknown and it has a great history.

Tabitha's okay. I like it for someone else, but not for me. I also dislike Tabby. But the only alternative I can come up with is Bitha, which is laughable. Maybe Bitty? Or Biddy? But that's stretching it. Hmmm. This requires more pondering.

You could stretch it and use Beth.

I love Tabitha. I like Tabby as well. hmmmm yeah Abby would work but then she'd be one of the many little Abbys....Abby is such a boring nickname really. I just wouldn't use a nickname at all.

My reaction is: "cat's name!" .
The only nn that comes to mind other than Tabby is Bibi.

I've never really liked Tabitha. My sister in-law's name is Tabatha Yvonne and she doesn't have any nicknames, although she occassionally gets called Tab. Like the pop.
