1. I love Kira and always have. It's a gorgeous name!
2. I don't think it's too trendy, especially with that spelling. It seems to be that the spellings with e's in them feel trendier. I'm just one person, but the only Kira I know is 22, so she predates any recent rend.
3. I think it will be mispronounced occasionally, but it's pretty safe.
4. I would definitely spell it Kira. I think it will get misspelled more often than mispronounced (as Keira/Kiera instead of Kira) or else Kira will just have to spell her name for people more often than others would.
5. Kira (KEE-ra), 22. I also know a Ciara (kee-AH-ra), also 22.
