Makes me think of Bree Van de Kamp from Desperate Housewives for sure! Then I think of Brie cheese. That said, I do actually like the name, but probably prefer Brianna more.

I prefer it either as a nickname for something or with the spelling Bríghe.

If you go back in the archives from a mo. or 2 back, I have a list of Bree combos you can look at.

Prefer it spelt Brigh.

I like Bree, as others have mentioned Bree Hodge from Desperate Housewives but I don't think that'd be a problem. I like Bree as a nickname for Brielle and Gabrielle. :)

It makes me think of the Desperate Housewives character. And while she's a cool chararacter, who really wants to be named like a fictional neurotic obsessive-compulsive ultra-conservative housewife?
Otherwise, the cheese comes to mind as well.

Sorry, it sounds very cheese-y to me, and quite masculine and harsh-sounding. Bryony is great, or Brigitta/Bridget with the nickname Brid (BREE.)

But it always seems to have a nicknamey feel. I can't quite grasp it as a full name yet. Unfortunately I feel like Breanna/Brianna or Breanne are pretty overdone. Bree is nice tho, and I do like the LOTR connection if you are a fan of his books or the movies.
