Frances is a family name for me, and it's one of the few I like. My grandmother's name is Norberta Frances and she goes exclusively by her middle name.
I don't like the nicknames. Especially Frannie because it makes me think of the woman in Dawn of the Dead and no one likes her (no one I know at least. She wasn't very bright ;])
