I prefer Lachlan by far, but I would be okay with Locke. Naming the kid Lachlan or Loki officially and just calling Locke loses the meaning, IMHO. If you want to name him after Locke, name him Locke. Lachlan with the nn Locke just doesn't work for me the way Lachie and Lach do.

I don't think it's overly pretentious, and it could work as a fn, but I'd put Locke in the mn slot. That's just me though. I like Locke. It could really grow on me. :)
