but in all honesty, I prefer it as a nn for Locksley, as in Robin Hood.
I do not think it would be either pretentious or over the top. In fact the combo John Locke Surname itself would be mightily cool.
But take my suggestions with a grain of salt, because I have very unusual tastes, even for around here.
