To honor your grandmother you can also choose a name with the same meaning, Ester means 'star' so you could use these as mn or fn to honor her:
Danika / Danica
Sitara
Yildiz
Stella
Sterre
Seren
Dara
Astra
Astraea (I love this, but it would be hard to spell)
Estrella (mn of my little cousin :)

An other way to honor her would be using another gemstone:
Almas
Esmeralda
Neelam
Safira (I think this would go well with Azalea)

Maybe you could name one with an gemstone and one with a star :)
From your list I like Azalea, Vivian, Sage
I dislike Bianca, the others are ok.

Thanks so much for all your suggestions. It may take me a minute to digest it, but I like Esmerelda, Amaya, Safira (never heard this last one before.) You don't think Azalea is too unususal? I know it's a matter of taste. -Gina

I think Azalea is unusual, but recognisable, isn't that what you want? I don't think it's too unusual to use. You seem to love it, so that's always a good reason to use it. (and again I think Azalea and Safira sound really good together)
