I don't know who any of these people are, sadly. :-(
Normally I surmonize about using surnames only if they are from your own family tree. My logic is, anything else is meaningless and comes across as wannabe rich, i.e., tacky.
But here you have a role model in mind. There's a lot of meaning in that so I can understand and get behind the choice. Ashmead itself is appealing, although it makes me think of china patterns more than a person's name. But that's my odd brain at work. The nn Ash is very attractive.
I adore the name Francis, by the way. And Charles is very handsome.
