Not fond of either, but Ingrid is preferable to Astrid sound-wise... with Emmeline and Vivienne being the preferred mns from that list.

I love Ingrid, and Astrid is very pretty too, but I prefer Ingrid. I love Ingrid Elaine, Ingrid Emmeline, and Ingrid Vivienne. Astrid Claire and Astrid Linnea is lovely too!

I love both Ingrid and Astrid -- very feminine without being overly frilly or fussy. These are names that work on a child and an adult.Ingrid Emmeline and Astrid Linnea are my favorites from your list. Ingrid Annelie and Astrid Claire take second place. On another site, my pseudonym is "Ingrid Maia." It's after a friend of mine from school, Ingrid Maya. I still remember being surprised that a mn could be so complementary to a fn -- it wasn't just the usual Marie or Ann. I tweaked the spelling a little, but the combination is as fresh to me today as when I first heard it. You might like it too. Others: Astrid Sophie / Sofie (oops. Got to run.)

I like Ingrid, but I positively ADORE Astrid. The book, White Oleander, has two main characters with both names, which may or may not have biased me. I'm not much for combos but they are gorgeous names.
