[Opinions] Cait
WDYTO this version of 'Kate'? Does it bring to mind a more specific type of girl? I like the name but I hate the vagueness and commonality of the 'K' spelling.

I like it. But I prefer the spelling "Kate" I just think that Kate is a classy type of name. Cait to me just makes me think of it as a variant of the regular Kate spelling. I don't find the Cait spelling more classier then the former. But that is just my opinion. But I don't dislike Cait. I even prefer the Cate spelling over Cait.

Eh for some reason the C versions never look right to me. My eyes just like the K ones better.

I think it's ugly. Cathy's fine with a C, but not Kate... don't like the ai thing either... Actually, I think the ai is uglier than the C... and people would CONSTANTLY be spelling it wrong.

I like Cate better, unless Cait is short for Caitlin

My first name is Caitlin nd as I've gotten a little bit older I've grown to love my name. As a child, I was never allowed a nickname soo when I was a teenager I tried out all different kinds of sp. of Cait. This one was actually my last one, out of desperation, nd it's stuck. I get a LOT of comments on it, nd everyone then asks if my name is Caitlin, nd their spelling attempts are a lot fewer. I've been going by Cait for over 6 yrs now nd i've never heard a bad thing about it. Hope that helps, somehow.
