[Opinions] Mareva
I saw this name in a magazine. Not sure where it comes from, maybe it's a contraction of Maria Eva. WDYT? I don't like it very much, though Maeva's nice.

Mareva is Tahitian. I've had it on my long list for a few years now. Lovely name. :)

It's ok, though each time I look at it I do see Maeva. Edited-Now that I think of it, it kind of has a European city-ish sound to it.

Mareva is not really for me. I agree with you Maeva would have been a better similar choice.

I think its awesome. I would pronounce it mar-A-va (mar-ava). I could see mar-EVV-ah working, too. Either way, I quite like it. A lot. Might even at it to my list.

I like the look and sound of it, though it reminds me a bit of a drug called Boniva.

I kind of like it. It looks a bit like one of those old, old names that is suddenly okay again to use, like Rowena. It's also close enough to Marina that it sounds totally legit to me. Maeva is also lovely, although my spellchecker doesn't think so. =)
