[Opinions] Harlow for a boy
I've decided that I love Harlow for a boy, which is odd because it's far from the kind of name I usually like. It's a strong, dignified name and makes me think of a handsome man. Anyway, WDYT?

The first time I have heard the name it was on a girl. So to me the reference of the name is more feminine. But I could see it on a boy I suppose. It will probably become more of a unisex name.

I think it would be okay on a boy, but I much prefer it on a girl. To me it's unisex, just like Sasha and Jordan are unisex. They are okay for both genders and don't sound particularly masculine or feminine as opposed to other unisex names such as Courtney (most people see is as feminine) or Christian and Noah (most people see them as masculine). It needs a very strong, masculine middle name, though. Something like James, William, Richard or Charles. As I said I much prefer it on a girl and I like Harlow Winter Kate, what Nicole Richie chose for her daughter. I think it is more feminine to me because of Jean Harlow.

Dislike it on both gendersAnd after its widespread use on girls, it's headed for the "teasable" pile of boy names (think Ashley, Leslie, Vivian, Meredith, etc.). I really wouldn't recommend it. It feels like the kind of name that's going to be really dated in thirty/forty years, like Gerald/Jerome/Arnold are now.
