[Opinions] Eve
What do you think of Eve? Not Eva, not Evangeline or Evie, just plain Eve. I think it's nice in its simplicity. I'd call her Evie from time to time but she'd mostly be Eve.
Do you know anyone named Eve? Would the parents of an Eve be religious?
Do you think many of the little Evangelines, Evies and Evas are called Eve for short? is it secretly common?
do you think it'll rise in popularity? or is it too simple and will most people go for the longer forms?

I adore it. Totally intend to use it one day.
I love it!
It's my 2nd choice girl's name (but occasionally moves to #1), but it's been on my list for the longest. I really dislike Evie. Eva is all right, but is a completely different name to me. I like it, but I prefer Eve. To me, Eve is simple, peaceful, classic, elegant, and lovely.
I knew an Evie a couple years younger than I. Her full name was Evelyn, though. I don't think Eve is usually used as a nn.
I don't expect it will make a huge rise in popularity. I hope not! I only worry that the trend is moving from Ava to Eva and could move to Eve. But, I don't really expect it because the names seem quite different.

I love Eve, can't stand Evie. It destroys the whole beauty of the name in my opinion.
I don't know anyone called Eve and their parents wouldn't have to be religious at all. I have nothing to do with religion and I'd use the name.
I know an Evony that goes by Eve, other than that not. I doubt most Evangelines go by Eve, just because Evangeline is so extravagant and Eve so simplistic next to it.
I don't think it'll rise significantly. It's been pretty constantly in the 500-600s in the last few years and I think it'll stay there.

I love Eve! It's "short and sweet" but also a strong name.
I don't consider Eve to be a "religious" name and wouldn't have any expectations about the beliefs of the parents of an Eve.
I don't know anyone named Eve.
I could see it get more popular over time, although I couldn't guess just how popular (or not).

I think that Eve is a pretty name. I would use Evangeline or Evangelina just in case she decides at some point that she wants to go by a longer name. Personally, I think Eva is even prettier, but Eve (or even Yve, which could be short for Yvonne or Yvette, etc.) has a classy simplicity, like Jane. I have no idea whether or not it will rise in popularity. A lot of formely rare biblical names are catching up, but who knows? I doubt that in a classroom of kids there is going to be more than one Eve (or Eva or Evangeline or whatever.) That's another good reason to use Evangeline: if there ever was another Eve, she could just go by the long form. I don't actually know anyone by this name, but it's not unheard-of. Although I can see religious parents naming their daughters Eve, it's definitely not just limited to them, just like Matthews, Michaels, Sarahs, and Rebekahs aren't all religious.
:)
:)
I like Evangeline nn Eve a lot but I fear that Evangeline has the potential to become a top 100 name. Look at the popularity chart. It rose so quickly over the past 2 years.
I like Eve. I like Eva better, but there is a nice simplicity to the name Eve.
I know a few Evas, but I don't think I've ever met an Eve. I don't think their parents would need to be religious though.
Some are probably Eve for short, but I think Evie is a more common nickname. It feels more nickname-ish.
I think as Eva gets popular, Eve will as well, but never to same extent as the longer forms.
