Help[Games] Writing Congrats Game (sign-ups)
I'll take the first 15 sign-ups, not counting my own. After this, people are free to keep up their own families, but I won't keep track of them. I will post a link to each previous round, so it'll be easier to keep track.
It looks like I'm going to be havign some extra time and I'd like to host a congrats game again. It is going to be a writing one, which means that every round there needs to be a story written to update on the family. (a story, so at least a proper paragraph, not two sentences)
There will be random events in the game, so something will happen to each family every round, good and bad. The random events will have a number for me, so the number you choose decides the event. I will mix up, add and delete random events each round, so you can't predict what you will get for each number.
There will be naming rules, and they will vary with each round. There are no rules for the sign up round.
Families can consist of (married or not) a mom and a dad, a mom and a mom, a dad and a dad, a single mom or a single dad. Parents can marry, divorce, split up, re-marry or die as the game goes on, so nothing is fixed in stone.

Angie and Vera met in college. They did not have many classes together, as Angie was a math major while Vera was majoring in visual arts. Instead, they got to know each other through the drama club; Vera acted in several productions, while Angie did tech.
They started dating the summer before their senior year and moved into an apartment together at the start of the school year. Their relationship progressed quickly, and two months after graduation, they had a small commitment ceremony with just a few friends and family members in attendance. Vera wanted an outdoor ceremony, so they decided to have it at Angie's grandparents' farm. Angie wore a knee-length black silk skirt with a white jacket, and Vera wore a strapless, knee-length black dress. Vera's youngest sister was the flower girl.
Angie is currently working as a technician for a computer supply/repair shop, while Vera teaches art and does freelance work in her spare time. They are both eager to have children, and are finally financially stable enough that it is a real possibility. They know that their family will not be traditional, but this does not bother them as they both come from nontraditional families themselves; Angie is a twin, and she and her brother were raised by their grandmother, while Vera has eleven siblings-- four biological, and seven adopted-- ranging in age from eight to thirty.
They have just bought their first house, a small ranch-style house with a shed that Vera plans to convert into an art studio, but if Vera gets her way they will have to upgrade in a few years to make room for their kids!

The night after her exams Emi's friend dragged her with them to go out with them. She didn't really feel like it, but went along anyway. They ended up at the bar where Rodney worked. Emi was very drunk and started dancing on the bar with a friend. She lost her balance and fell off. Rodney caught her.
Two weeks later Emi was still thinking about the guy that caught her when she was walking in the mall. And when she turned the corner, she bumped into him. Rodney still remembered her as well and asked her out for a cup of coffee before he even said hello. Emi was so shocked she couldn't say anything. Rodney took that as a 'yes' and dragged her into the nearest coffee place. Emi was completely enchanted by him and before she knew it she had another date with him for the weekend.

(Oscar saw Nora for the first time at a pub one night. He was immediately intrigued by the beautiful Italian beauty on stage with the enchanting voice. He still caries the image of her from that night in his mind. Her long lustrous golden-brown falling across her face as she played the guitar and sang... So he decided to wait until she was done to speak to her. But as soon as she was offstage, she was gone, and nowhere to be found. He asked around about her, but all the people in the pub and the owner knew, was that she were her name, that she was Italian, that she wasn't very open about herself and that she had a beautiful voice. This piqued his interest in her even more.
So he kept visiting the pub and learned the days she played there, but somehow she always managed to leave before he could find her.
Then, one day, he saw her on campus at the University he attended. He was sgocked for a moment. His heart leaped and skipped, and he walked up to her. This time he was determined to not let her get away...
Nora saw him walking towards her. Oh no, she thought. I've been avoiding him for the past two months, but I knew I couldn't keep this up for long. Anyway, now I'll just have to deal with it, she thought, and looked up at him as he neared.
She had wanted to avoid Oscar Danielsen, especially after the pub's manager had told her he was looking for her. She thought she knew Oscar's type, and judging by previous experiencess with "his type", she didn't want anything to do with him. "His type" were the gorgeous (was the epithet her helplessly romantic friends used) blond med or law students (in this case med) who came from wealthy families (which was obvious from his prestigious car) and thought they owned the world and would never have anything denied them. She didn't want to encourage this prototype any longer. And of course she knew Oscar Danielsen; he was the refined genius for his professors and the outgoing guy who never missed a party and left broken hearts in his wake. He made everyone happy (except of course for those unfortunate broken hearts). And truth be told, all her foolish (was the epithet her helplessly romantic friends used) prejudices set aside; she wasn't immune to his charm either. So she coldly acknowledged his presence as he came to stand right in front of her.

Though he is young and handsome, Clementine takes an instant dislike to North, seeing him as the embodiment of the harsh, working-class. Lucas North, on the other hand, is immediately struck by Clementine. "He did not understand who she was," when he first saw her, "as he caught the simple, straight, unabashed look, which showed that his being there was of no concern to the beautiful countenance, and called up no flush of surprise to the pale ivory of the complexion. But due to a big storm, their plane got stuck on the tarmac for three hours. Alec and Juliet were sitting next to each other, and inevitably they got to know each other pretty well over the course of the trip. They became close friends during the four months they were in London, and right before they headed back to the States, Alec asked her out. At the beginning of the next year, after they had been dating for eight months, they decided to move into an apartment together. Alec and Juliet have talked about getting married sometime after graduating, but nothing is set in stone yet.

They crossed paths a few more times, and eventually Raven ended up sticking with the group for good. The two had clashing personalities and argued a lot, but they came to care about each other a great deal; of course, it's hard not to care about people you save the world with. It took a few years, but eventually the two realized that they had fallen in love, despite the age difference.
Their wedding was small - just their close friends (neither had any family). Their friend Yuri walked Rita down the isle, and was also the best man. The ceremony was short but memorable, and afterwards everyone got to see Raven showcase the dancing skills he had learned during his time in the military.
(Yeah, I pulled these characters from a video game, so their backstory is kinda weird.)

Nikki wasn't looking for a man--she had just broken up with her boyfriend of three years after learning that he had been secretly dating one of her best friends for over six months. The first time they met, Andrew had gotten lost and was looking for a patient's room where he was supposed to observe a therapy session. Nikki directed him to the correct room and continued on with her day. The next day, Andrew was lost again--purposely. For the next few days, he would come to the therapy room seeking directions to one room or another, and Nikki would direct him to the correct place. The next week, Andrew decided to see if Nikki wanted to go to the hospital cafeteria for some coffee. He figured he could get to know Nikki better, and she wouldn't feel like it was a date--after all it was the hospital's cafeteria. Although Nikki intended to decline, she found herself nodding when Andrew asked her to the cafeteria. Over the next few weeks, Andrew and Nikki met up several times.
