[Opinions] Adrienne
What do you think of Adrienne for a girl? do you think it's dated to the 70s? do you know anyone named Adrienne?
do you pronounce it the same as Adrian and Adrien?
Do you like it spelled Adrian for a girl? I kind of like that. Not so keen on the -enne ending this time for some reason though I like other -enne names like Vivienne.
do you think it will rise again in popularity?
do you prefer Adriana or Adrianna?

I like Adrienne. I wouldn't choose it myself, but it isn't bad. A few years ago I definitely would have said it's dated, but it doesn't feel that way anymore as similar names start to make a comeback. It bet it will too. However, as of now, the only Adrienne I know is over 60.
I definitely prefer Adriana or Adrianna. I like the "ana" ending. This also feels less dated... maybe because I know an Adriana who is 14.

I like Adrienne a lot, and don't consider it dated. I say it basically the same way as Adrian, though the end is more -en and less -an.
Adrian on a girl is just silly. There are so many perfectly good female versions (Adriana, Adrienne, Adrianna...)--why take the boys' name?
In theory I absolutely adore Adriana, but only said ah-dree-AH-nah. Since that would be hard to enforce I'd never use it.

My sister's name is Adrianna (which I prefer to the single n version), but a few weeks ago, I was thinking about how cool it would be if her name was Adrienne. It's light, strait-forward and honest. (I'm not sure how names can be honest, but that's what it makes me think of.)
Being completely honest with myself, I do think that I say Adrian (masculine only) and Adrienne the same way. I have a small feeling that they will both become popular, which would be nice, but realistically, they won't be that big.

I really love Adrienne, though I biased because it was a childhood friend's name. She passed away almost 2 years ago, so this name (and spelling) holds a special place in my heart. I also really love Adrian for a boy, but not on a girl. I don't know why, but I feel Adrian looks masculine while Adrienne is more feminine. I think it could rise in popularity, but not any time soon. Adriana / Adrianna are fine, but not something I would use.

- Heh, no. Adrian's definitely masculine, but maybe it's because I apparently pronounce Adrienne wrong....
do you think it will rise again in popularity?
- I wouldn't be surprised, but I don't know.
do you prefer Adriana or Adrianna?
- I like Adrienne and Adrianna equally, I think.

I like it enough. I'm using it on a character. I did not realize it was commonly used in the 70's. I don't know anyone with the name.
It's pretty similar for me.
No, not even a little.
It could. It doesn't quite have the same Ad- sound as what's currently popular though.
I like Adrienne best, but Adriana is okay too.
