Unfortunately, Leo Edward died soon after birth, which often happened in those days. One year later, Walter and Cecilia decided to try again - and got a healthy baby girl! They named her Chloe Amelia. Two years later, they had another girl, Lucille Sadie.
Now, in 1905, they had their first surviving boy, Isaac Eugene. After his birth, the house was getting too crowded, so they moved from their home in North Carolina to Alabama.
