In 1912, two years after Ashley and Sofia were born, Ethel gave birth to another son, Asa. The family was overjoyed. And since the addition had been built on the house, space was not an issue with another child.
In 1913, however, seven-year-old Rose wandered away from the house one December afternoon. The family waited awhile, thinking she would come back. As it began to snow, Edward, Sky, and Leo all went looking for her. She was found in the forest a few hours later, and the boys brought her home. Sadly, she passed away a few hours later. The family was devastated.
In 1914, Ethel had another son. They named him Ezekiel because it means “God strengthens”, and the family really needed strength after losing Rose.
In 1915, Ethel had another set of twins, Kendall and Susannah. The babies are very much adored by the whole family.
Currently, Sky, Leo, Thomas, Ava, Jenny, Griffin, Hunter, Zoe, and Grace all go to public school, and Ethel is homeschooling Ashley and Sofia. Sky, Leo, and Thomas could all drop out of school and find jobs now, but Ethel and Edward are encouraging them to continue their educations.
Edward is still working for Walgreens. He has been working for them for a long while now, and there has been talk of him getting some sort of promotion.
