Iris Tereza is an 8-year-old girl from Goiania, Brazil. She has black hair and black eyes. Her parents were too poor to care for her, but they would like to contact her. She likes collecting dolls, soccer, and singing. She speaks Portuguese, but knows some English. She and her brother are devout Catholics.
Antonio Simao is Iris's 5-year-old brother. He has black hair and black eyes. He likes coloring, drawing, and soccer. He has a male cat named Joao.
Olivia June is a 15-year-old girl from rural Rwanda. She has black hair and black eyes. Her parents were killed in the Rwandan Genocide when she was a baby, and she has lived most of her life at a refugee camp in Uganda. She speaks Kinyarwanda (the main language of Rwanda), Swahili, and English.
Robert Joseph is a 12-year-old boy from Bend, Oregon. He has blond hair and green eyes. His single mother was too young to take care of him, so she put him up for adoption when he was a baby, but she would like to contact him. Robert likes football, skateboarding, and food.

Thank you for these kids. A little over a year has gone by and the kids are adjusting well. Iris and Antonio are learning more English every day and they talk to their biological parents on the phone sometimes. Olivia is also doing well, especially in school. She is looking forward to college in a few years. Robert loves having brothers to play football with. He has also sometimes talks to his biological mother on the phone.
