Katarzyna "Kasia" Romana is thirteen years old and from Warsaw, Poland. She is red haired, freckled, with green eyes and on the short side. She was abandoned at birth and has never known her parents. She speaks with a slight lisp. She is a very charismatic child and has an interest in all outdoor activities and is interested in trying new adventures and experiences. She is interested in most sports, as well as nature and the outside world. Moreover, another interest is cookery, and she has occasionally expressed the wish to be a chef when she grows up.
Elena "Lena" Ornella is seventeen years old and from Ravenna, Italy. She speaks both English and Italian fluently and has brown hair and brown eyes. Her mother was an alcoholic single mother; she doesn’t know who her father was, or until recently did not. Her mother thought that raising her daughter on her own in her condition was too much, so gave Elena up for adoption when she was a baby. Lena is currently in contact with her older half brother, Marco [same father, different mother], although she has not met him in question, and has expressed an interest in meeting him in person in the future, as well as eventually tracing and making contact with her birth mother. Lena is homosexual. Her personality is described as warm and bubbly and her interests include horror novels, films and swimming.
Marek Julian is seventeen years old and from Krakow in Poland. He has a younger sister, Grazyna, with whom he is desperate not to lose contact. He is tall, bespectacled, brown haired and blue eyed. His interests include science, maths, space exploration and factual books. He wants to study physics at university.
