[Opinions] Would you use the exact first/middle name of a celeb baby?
Just wondering. It seems like after John Travolta named his baby girl Ella Bleu little Ella Bleus have appeared everywhere. It all started in 2000 when John Travolta chose Ella Bleu for his young daughter. Shortly thereafter that guy from McLeoud's Daughters chose Ella-Blu for his little girl. He has been the only "celeb" imitating another, bigger celeb's complete name choice as far as I know. Even back then I just found it ridiculous. He can't tell me he came up with it himself. So far I've met 4 little Ellas. I don't know the middle name of one of them but the others are: Ella Blue, Ella Blu and Ella Bleu. Interesting. Ella was at 200 something in 2000 and since then it has risen. I think it would have risen anyway but all those Ella Blues can only be from Travolta naming his daughter that. I thought copying the exact first and middle name was a bit much. What do you think? Do you know anybody who chose the complete first and middle name of a celeb baby? by accident?? would you do it? does it matter how well known the celeb is and how unusual the name? Olivia Newton John named a daughter Chloe Rose and I doubt all the little Chloe Roses parents were influenced by her but with a more unusual name it often seems to be the case. opinions?

Yes, and here's why [m]What do you think? Name your kid whatever you want regardless if celebs use it they do not own the names.Do you know anybody who chose the complete first and middle name of a celeb baby? No[ as far as I know]Would you do it? Yes, I have my combo for a boy Rain Amethyst, and someone just named their son it who's a celeb. I don't care they don't own the combo, and just because the child might have the same name doesn't mean it's named for the celebrity baby. It could be just a name or combo that people like. If I like the combo enough I'd use it.Does it matter how well known the celeb is and how unusual the name? No, maybe people never thought of the name before it was used on a celeb. Celebs are no different then other people it's like say Nevaeh people never thought of it probably until others started using it same for celebs. I think it's sad when people are afraid of using a name because of celebs it's so silly to me, sure people *might or will* assume you named your kid after so, and so's kid : bottom line: who cares? just tell them no, and that's it people will think what they want doesn't mean they are right.

I don't know of anyone who has directly copied a celeb baby name, however, I know plenty who have copied here and there: Halle, Ella, Ava, Rose (mn), Grace, etc. I would copy Christian Slater's dd's name, Eliana Sophia. Gorgeous! I also like Matt LeBlanc's dd's name, Marina Pearl.

Oh,I probably wouldn't, but if it were a really great combo, I'd be tempted.

If it were a commonly known name, or at least one that had been in use before, yes. In the case of a name such as Bleu, no, I wouldn't copy a celebrity like that. Chloe Rose, yes, Ella Bleu, no. Of course, I wouldn't use Ella under any circumstances, because I really dislike it. Is the fact that it's John Travolta's daughter's name the reason that it became popular? I didn't even know it was his daughter's name, shows how closely I follow celebrities. Anyway, if so, he popularized a IMO yukky name.

That's funny, I didn't know Olivia Newton John named her kid, Chloe Rose. I had actually considered that. I had thought about using Lily Rose after Johnny Depp's girl, Lily-Rose Melody. It seems like a lot of celebrities have been using Rose as a middle name. Ella is cute, but I don't like Bleu or Blue.

Nope.

If it was two fairly well known names (like Ava Elizabeth, or Alexander Pete) I wouldn't have a problem with it. But I'd never choose Shiloh Nouvel or Knox Leon or some other uber-popular celebrity combo with a more unusual name.

I don't know any Ella BluesBut I do know a to of Lisa Maries whose parents probably got the idea from Elvis Presley naming his daughter that way back in 1968. To be fair, Elvis and Prscilla were probably just choosing a name that was already getting very popular (Lisa) and adding in the ever-popular Marie, but it seems like after that, if you met a Lisa who *wasn't* middle-named Marie, it was unusual.I don't know anybody who has actually used Blue or any variation of it as a person's name. But it seems very tryndee in Hollywood cirvles. I do't blame John Travolta for Blue's popularity. I blame Cher and Gregg Allman who used the name Elijah Blue for their son thirty something years ago. Why, I do not know; Blue probably because of the musical connection, but who knows. To make a long story short, no, I would not use a combo some celebrity had used. At least not an "uncommon" one like Ella Bleu (which sounds like hullabaloo anyway) Something like Lisa Marie wouldn't be so bad.
