[Opinions] Because I'm a dork...

Whereas once I would have thought Shakespeare when I heard Juliet, I now first think of Juliet from Lost and it makes me like the name more. Haha.
But yeah, I think she will get Romeo comments from kids, but I don't think that's something that would ruin one's childhood. I think Juliet is a pretty and sophisticated name. I can't really see it on a little girl though... maybe she'd have to be called Julie or Ettie. Which is adorable!
I think I prefer Juliet, but I do like the pronunciation joo-lee-ET, which is how I'd say Juliette. Juliet I'd pronounce JOO-lee-et. So maybe I prefer Juliette. I'm not really sure!
I know one Juliet. She lives in the apartment across the hall. She's in her mid-20's, I'd guess. I've never asked her if she got teased as a kid though.
I could see Juliet becoming more popular. I know Julia is still popular, and Juliet has the same sort of feel as some popular names like Isabella. At least I think it does.
