[Opinions] Re: nicknames

Believe it or not, Effie is a name in its own right. It's the Anglicized form of Oighrig. But traditionally, it was also commonly used as a nn for Euphemia. Others that could work: Josepha, Josephine / Josefina, Persephone, Stephania / Stephanie / Estefania.
Elle / Ellie -- Elizabeth / Ella / Elsa, Elvira ("el-VEER-uh"), Elena / Helen, Celeste / Celestine, Gabrielle / Gabriella, Emanuelle, Isabelle / Isabella, Eloise / Eloisa, Danielle / Daniella, Candela, Elodie, Eliana / Eliane, the skies the limit.
Eve / Eva -- Eva, Evelyn, Evangeline, Genevieve / Geneva / Genoveva, Vera, Godelieve, Niamh, Oliva ("O-lee-vuh").
Aria -- Candelaria, Artemisia, Ariadne, Maria / Mariah / Mariana, Hilaria / Ilaria, Apollinaria.
Celia -- Celeste / Celestine.
Ginny / Jenny -- Guinevere / Genevieve / Geneva / Ginevra / Genoveva / Jennifer, Imogen, Iphigenia, Eugenia, Virginia, Ginger, Georgina, Gina, Jeanette / Jeanine.
Sel -- Selene / Selena, Celine, Sheila, Celeste / Celestine, Marcella / Marcelline, Estelle / Estella, Selma / Anselma.
Mel -- Melina, Melanie, Pamela, Carmel / Carmella, Melissa, Melisande ("mel-i-SAHND"), Emmanuelle, Melody, Demelza, Eumelia.
Lia -- Camellia, Ottilia, Tullia, Ileanna, Ersilia, Liana / Liane, Eliana / Eliane, Cecilia, Aurelia, Eumelia, Lilia / Lilias, Mahalia.
Some of these are a bit of a stretch, but with nns I don't see why they can't work. Lots of names that work for more than one nn.
Thanks for a fun challenge. It will be fun to see what other people come up with.
