[Opinions] Hallie
What do you think of Hallie, pr. HAL-ee, not HAY-lee? Do you think people would mispronounce it?How would you spell it (Halle, Hallie, Halley, Halli etc)?Do you know anyone named HAL-ee? how do they spell it? do they have problems with people mispronouncing it?Any ideas why it isn't more popular? seems like a perfect alternative to Hayley.

I like Hallie (HAL-ee). I like HAY-lee better, but I still like HAL-ee a lot.People might mispronounce it, but I don't think it would be a huge issue.I prefer the -ey spelling because I think it looks less nickname-like that way. Halley.I know one Halley (age 22).It's probably less popular because Hayley is a slightly less harsh sound, so it's the version that people took too more readily.

actually, i was thinking about this name earlier. I personally like the name, and I would spell it Hallie. The only concern I would have is that someone may pronounce is HOLLIE.

I don't think I've ever met anyone named Hallie although I used to know someone named Haley (pronounced like Hayley) who was called Hallie by mistake. I think Hallie is a nice name, but it seems like some people might confuse it with either Hayley or Holly. I'm not sure how often this would happen, but hopefully not too often. I'd stick with the spelling Hallie. I don't care for the other spellings.

I don't like it, I prefer HAY-lee over HAL-ee. I just think HAY-lee flows better, and HAL-ee sounds too much like Holly, so I think if it's pronounced HAL-ee, people automatically think Holly.I prefer the spelling Halle, and I have yet to meet a "HAL-ee".

I think it's fine as a nickname for Harriet.
