Personally I don't like human names on dogs, but I think Pasquale would quite funny per il cagnolino. And Selvaggia if it's a cagnolina (she'd be a bit wild, though :-) ) Bianca's a good dog name too (whether she's white or not).

Si, si, si...! And these names, I like to serve them to my mother to see her reactions to them! She will NOT have an exotic or affected name for her pet!

My father had a dog named Giaco once (Unlike Indiana Jones, I am not named after the dog), so I think that that might be nice. There are several names that I personally wouldn't use because they are family names, but for you I'll try to overlook that. Of you list, Alfredo is my favorite for a male dog because it's the cutest, but Alonzo, Caruso, Colombo, Fabio, Gerardo, Luigi, Romeo, Sergio and Vittorio could be nice too. Allegra is my favorite for a female dog because it is full of energy, but Azzura, Bibiana, Cinzia, Fabia, Orsolina, Santuzza and Zita could be nice too.
